Ever get tired of visiting the same restaurants over and over? Looking to kick your major food dilemma? The same cheeseburger eventually gets old no matter how good it is. Good news, a round trip of mequon best eateries is just the thing to get you out of your food rut!

First stop, a new southern edition to mequon, Cream City Cluckery. This restaurant is a pickup only. It actually originated as a pop-up restaurant in the bucks stadium. This restaurant specializes in one thing and one thing only, chicken tenders! While their menu may be limited, their deep-fried morsels of chicken are absolutely delightful. If you're not interested in just plain tenders, order a sandwich dressed in pickles and their famous comeback sauce. It even comes with tater tots! Of course don't forget the sides. They have mac and cheese, tater tots, and honey butter biscuits with an array of dipping sauces. YUM!
Next stop, Foxtown Brewery, a local joint that has an array of things from brunch on Sunday to cheese curds! It sprouted from what started as Opitz Zimmerman Brewery in the mid-1800 and is now a full blown restaurant establishment!

However a big menu can be overwhelming, so we recommend their cheese curds (deep fried cheese served with ranch), wings, and their totchos(tater tots dresses as nachos with cheese sauce and salsa). Another menu option that is sure to please is the Foxtown burger. It even has bacon and tomato jam to replace the regular, boring ketchup. For dessert apple crisp, personal pecan pie, or even fudgy flourless chocolate cake. Try going on a Friday to try their legendary fish fry!

Our last stop is a Mequon hidden gem. If you haven’t already, you need to try the North Shore Boulangerie, which is known for having you unique desserts. Founded in 2014, it is a bakery and cafe that has a wide variety of french pastries/desserts as well as a complete menu of cafe-style lunches. I recommend trying the breakfast pastries with a fresh cup of Persian coffee…espresso anyone? They specialize in delicate pastries such as a croissant or a danish (a disk of a croissant with a thumbprint in the middle filled with jam). Not a big fan of sweets? Try a Quiche Lorraine (an egg custard topped with bacon and gruyere cheese in a buttery tart-shell) or an omelet stuffed with spinach, ham, and gruyere cheese! Fun Fact: The NSB actually imports their coffee from Cafe Richerd the main coffee maker in Paris. They have a family history of making coffee for over 125 years!
Thanks so much for taking this trip around some of Mequon’s best restaurants, cafes, and bakeries! Hope you get an opportunity to try one out for yourself. Bon appetite!
