Top 5 Things to do this Summer!

“There's a hundred and four days of summer vacation ‘Till school comes along just to end it. So the annual problem for our generation Is finding a good way to spend it.” -Phineas and Ferb.

Recognizing this quote wall it does come from the beloved TV show Phineas and Ferb it does highlight a big issue a lot of kids have…how to spend their summer! There's the struggle of what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. Well I am here to fix that. Here are 3 ways to supersize the amount of fun you have this summer!

1. Swimming-It might seem like an obvious choice but really enjoy the warm weather and swim as much as possible wherever you like at the public pool, country club pool, or the lake!

2. Go to the Mequon Public Market-This local spot is great to grab lunch at Cafe Corazon with a friend or two as well as getting a scoop of refreshing ice cream at Purple Door Ice Cream. One of the best parts of the market is its stellar location. You can walk there to the park, library or pool!

3. Go on a bike ride-Mequon and Thensville have a plethora of bike trails to choose from and biking is an excellent source of exercise. You can also bike to wherever you want to go such as the Public Market or the Pool.

4.Have a sleepover!-This is the perfect time to just relax and chill with your friends. I recommend picking a place to sleep that has a TV(to watch movies) and is open for impromptu dance parties and karaoke! I also recommend buying a series of snacks(it's a necessity). If you ever run out of activities to do here's some suggestions: Truth or Dare. Exposed(the app),would you rather,as well as karaoke or picking out outfits for each other!

5.Spend quality time with your family-Wall this may seem obvious, but really try to devote some time to the people you love and care about the most. We all know that the school year can be very stressful and chaotic. So try and go on a walk, have a deep conversation,or even watch a movie or show together, it makes for really good conversation.
